Connecticut rule
Ask for the cost before self-pay care starts
As of September 2026, a Connecticut telehealth clinician must ask about your coverage and disclose the cost before care when you will pay some or all of it yourself.
As of the same date, Connecticut does not allow a facility fee for a telehealth visit.
A facility fee is an extra charge for the clinic building itself, added on top of the clinician’s fee. It should not appear on a bill for an online visit.

What the price pieces look like
Many online services charge a membership: a set fee every month to use the service, instead of a fee for each visit.
Across six national online services checked on September 26, 2026, standard monthly membership prices ran from $19.99 to $149, and medicine was usually a separate charge.
Across three direct lab sites checked on September 26, 2026, common single blood tests had regular cash prices from $29 to $59.
The companies that make some of these medicines also sell them straight to people who pay cash.
Checked on September 26, 2026, those direct prices mostly ran from about $149 to $499 a month, with the product and dose changing the price.
Many printed cash offers and savings terms end on December 31, 2026, so a current quote needs a fresh check after that date.
