What does a useful answer sound like?

You asked who will treat you. The reply says “a licensed professional.” That is a label, not an answer.

Clear answer

A person you can check

Look for a full name, a licence type, a state, and a licence number. Match them in the state record.

As of September 2026, a Connecticut telehealth clinician must give you their licence number and contact details.

Clear answer

A live call, or records the clinician reviews

Store-and-forward means you send records or images that the clinician reviews later.

As of September 2026, Connecticut telehealth means a live two-way call or store-and-forward.

Text messages, email, and fax do not count as telehealth. Ask the service how it wants to receive your records.

Weak answer

A menu with no real exchange

In May 2026, national medical-board guidance said that picking a treatment from a menu, with no real check by a clinician, is not proper care.

A real check means the clinician learns your health history and can ask you their own questions before deciding.

A form can collect facts. It cannot replace every follow-up question.
